Lori Curtin, CTC - Dog Trainer | Dog Walker

Lori is a graduate from The Academy of Dog Trainers and earned her Certification in Dog Training and Counseling (CTC). In addition to private and class training she is employed by the Humane Society of Southwest Washington as a Canine Enrichment Specialist. She has been assisting and teaching in dog classes for over 8 years. She realized that dog behavior and training had become a passion and pursued additional education with the goal of understanding and applying animal behavior though positive reinforcement training. Positive-reinforcement training is a powerful and humane way to train our dogs. We help you learn how to provide guidance and train your dog in a positive and a rewarding manner. We focus on what our dogs are doing right. This benefits both the guardian and the dog. Your dog enjoys training and enjoys training with you. We use this same approach at the Humane Society knowing that a successful adoption is key. We work with the dogs to provide the best chance of success in their new home.

Before moving to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Lori had a wealth of experience including:

  • Assistant canine trainer including basic manners, puppy socialization and dog agility classes at Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation.
  • Canine enrichment and dog walker at Humane Society for SW Washington.
